TENCEL™ Modal & Cotton
TENCEL™ Modal are soft, fine and light cellulosic fibers made by pulp from sustainable wood sources, in an eco-responsible way in Austria. It is produced with Eco Soft technology, ensuring high recovery rates of chemicals, and reducing wastewater and air emissions significantly. The combination of TENCEL™ Modal & Cotton makes a soft, flexible, light weight and durable fabric.

TENCEL™ Modal
Modal is MarMar Copenhagen’s beloved basics collection, crafted in soft rib for both babies and children.
Since 2008, Modal has been the foundation of every collection – always available in seven classic colours alongside each season’s new shades.
Our Modal products are made from a blend of organic cotton, TENCEL™ Modal, and elastane – ensuring that each style keeps its shape wear after wear.
What we, and our customers, love about our Modal range:
TENCEL™ Modal is a registered trademark of the Austrian company Lenzing AG. The fibres are primarily made from beechwood sourced from sustainable forests in Austria and neighbouring countries, in a closed-loop production process. Beech forests are natural and renewable raw material sources, and the wood is either FSC® (C041246) or PEFC™ certified. TENCEL™ Modal fibres have also been awarded the BioPreferred® designation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
MicroModal™
MicroModal™ are soft, fine and light cellulosic fibers made by pulp from sustainable wood sources, in an eco-responsible way in Austria.
It is produced with Eco Soft technology, which has high recovery rates of chemicals and ensures that wastewater and air emissions are significantly reduced.
MicroModal™ fibers are even finer and softer than Modal fibers, feeling like luxurious silk against the skin.

VILOFT® Instead of wool
Our baselayer is a mix of recycled polyester, elastane and VILOFT® and is produced in Turkey. The recycled polyester is made from plastic bottles and plastic wrapping. VILOFT® is a 100% natural viscose fiber made from FSC® certified wood pulp. The FSC® seal guarantees, that only wood from sustainably managed plantations is used. The VILOFT® fibers are made in Germany.
VILOFT® ensures excellent moisture management and thermal resistance qualities - a perfect alternative to wool. For more information visit www.viloft.com

RWS Certified Wool
The Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that addresses animal welfare and the managing of land.
With this certification, we can trace the wool all the way back to the farm, ensuring that our wool comes from sheep that have been treated in accordance with the Five Freedoms of animal welfare, and from farms that have a progressive and responsible approach to land management.

ECOVERO™ Viscose
ECOVERO™ is a trademark of Austrian Lenzing AG. ECOVERO™ Viscose are fine cellulosic fibers made by pulp from sustainable, renewable wood sources. Producing ECOVERO™ Viscose generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to conventional viscose. Fibers are certified with the EU Ecolabel, meeting high environmental standards.

Five Freedoms Wool
Our fine wool is made by Südwolle who commits to upholding their wool suppliers to the Farm Animal Welfare Council’s Five Freedoms, the ideal states for animal welfare. Furthermore, Südwolle ensures non mulesed wool, tested quarterly by a third party. The wool is spun in Italy and Germany, knitted in Denmark and sewn in Ukraine.
